Outstanding Cara!
You are the Queen of Mix Media with a creative flair and expertise in using filters.
This indeed looks like a painting.
I would like to know where you took this? In Norway or Greece?
I like the softness and the vintage like look.
Well done ;)

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Sunshine, and of course also for the 6 stars.

It is fun and it works well. The viewer would have to flip a coin to make the call of photo or painting. The ability to play with technology makes this a very interesting medium. The program you used is very effective. Great job. It is great to see your work. It has been three years and I am happy to be back. Best of luck on your posts.

Annie, You know me and how I love to play... so to me, this is awesome!

I love the added textures in this one as well.

Yet, this still maintains its fine crispness and color.

A beautiful piece.

This image is great Annie.
It really looks like you were having fun trying something
different. It's amazing what
Topaz studio can do, don't you agree? This quaint landscape is a fantastic photo to turn into a painting.
It surely looks like it. I've tried to use some of the filters in my topaz studio...
but I can't seem to duplicate your work. It is amazing work! It is a pleasure to view.

Thank you so much for the lovely review Marsha. I really like Topaz studio, but I don't really use it that often. I thought I had found the perfect effect which I used on the purple Hollyhock, but when I tried it on other photos, it did not look so good. I think it all depends on which photo you use.

Funny years ago you were either a photographer or an artist, but due to photoshop etc thet can easily cross over, this certainly on first and even second glance would be taken for a painting, clever and different, guess the frame also adds to this effect, nice one annie....Brian

Well, in my opinion you have certainly succeeded in your quest! My initial reaction was that it must be a painting posted here. Wonder where the house is located? Well created!!

Oh my...this reminds me so much of my grandfather's homestead in Hallingdahl, Norway. I have been to Norway twice as I have relatives in Nesbyn, Olso, and Moss. This truly does look like a painting. I think you succeeded! It has a very soft, dreamy quality.

Very cool Annie. I have been using Photo Shop to make some of my photos look like paintings. That and liquify are the only two things I know how to do so far on PS ; )

I think this is a perfect image to turn into a painting. Often a painted look makes for better viewing than a standard photo. Don't you agree?

Great work Annie. Keep experimenting ~ Steve

Apparently this was a photo before you used your mixed media magic. Now it looks indeed like a painting. The touch of impressionism is perfect. A painter could not have done it better. The landscape is well composed. The simple wooden frame match the style of the photo-painting exquisitely.
