Really cute painting. You show your englishness with the rhubarb. I give tuition in homes of Somalians who have inherited wonderful rhubarb from previous owners and just let it go to waste, and all the gardens - the kids play indoors though their council houses have huge gardens back and front/?/ never read Dr Spock evidently. No I like this Brenda. For me, this style YOU and I love the little touches of englishness. I am practically myself, even though mauled by the British, totally innocent, only because Princess Diana - and Prince Charles caught on the same scanner of their KGB at St barths. /my GP leech of scunthorpe, asked the Brit KGB to watch me, so I do not unfrock him for misconduct in the surgery./

Rhabarber is a favourite in Germany too but its a national tradition in Geordie land with custard of course. Many council tenants here too also have huge unattended gardens. Absolute shame. Thank you for your review and very interesting comments!

we didn't get any in our Bavarian children's homes, but we used to find sour grass and acorns to fill our bellies. Doctor said I was the size of a three year old when my mother managed to fetch me to England, the same year as the East Germans killed my brother there, for being a 'jew', attacked for years, ripped off a testicle when ten four Nazi now Communist youths attacked him because. he had my mother's HUNGARIAN black hair 1953

brenda I don't care twopence about the gardens though it is a waste, as they do not understand their use, I care about the mental and physical health of these children. Most of the girls are not permitted to do PE at School, many have mentally and physically handicapped siblings who scream for hours. I take my hat off to the mothers for coping, but the kids don't get a run about, when the council provides them with /many/ huge gardens they could put up a park in. There was a craze for trampolines and They are very much- they've got one, so we have to get one- I breathed a sigh of relief, because even just jumping up and down in the fresh air, is better than the way they are closetted up!! But that craze has now gone. My parents were super-strict but I WAS allowed in the garden and had to go to feed the chickens etc in our allotment.

A beautiful character that should have no trouble inspiring any number of stories. A very nice image with great colors. Best of luck in the contest.

Fluffy, fuzzy and just plain cute. Rich colors and a cute story line. Your POV is fun.
The background is filled with great rabbit food. The eyes have it and he is just plain fun to look at.

He looks a bit raggedy. Its long hairs seem tangled. He looks indeed as if he had a fright or perhaps a fight with some menacing rhubarb plant. This is a nice illustration for small children. The colors are pleasant and adequate for children. Rhubarb is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced. I can imagine many adventures of Rhubarb. Perhaps the fight with a group of carrots, the rescue by the flower fairy and others.

This is a nice work of art I had a little bunny in my yard the other day that almost got taken by a hawk. I was happy the rabbit was faster.
I like your technique and imagination. Very nice.

A very good looking entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and classical composition reveals that he looks quite at home in that garden. Looks as if he is considering what to eat next!
Well painted and good luck!

Interesting painting Very colourful and has many things to see apart from the Rabbit. This would make a fine illustration in a children's book. This has story telling possibilities. Good luck!

Thank you for reviewing and appreciate especially your remarks about other things apart from the rabbit. I did try and make the background fairly realistic. Kids are no fools. Thanks again.
