This is a wonderful shot of the beautiful flowers. You have framed it well. Light and sharpness are very effective in creating a lovely capture. Thanks for sharing!

Lucien,
A beautiful picture of the two orange Gerber Daisies, one in bright sunshine the other in the shade, showing how the sunlight deepens & enhances the colour while in the shade the daisy's colours are muted. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

    Susan,

thank you for your time and the review of my photograph, both are appreciated.
Thank you for the high praise on this photo. I think that the hint of red flowers there on the right, enhances the overall composition, and help the flower in the light move forward, giving the image great depth.

The negative space there on the right, for me, also leads the eye into the composition and the main flower and then the one in the shadows, it enhances the flow for me, don't you think?.

    Have good day.
    Be safe.
    Cheers.

Great eye for seeing the potential in this on Lucien. The contrasting colors and lighting is subtle yet striking. The sun lit flower has a wonderful glow to it and you have captured it very well. Great image my friend ~ Steve

A very nice image of this color..The light in this case does showcase the beautiful orange color of what looks like a daisy? In any regards this does show your vision of
seeing the flowers in the same light in one scene. If it were mine, I may have centered it totally within the frame and cloned out the light in the left hand corner.
I think it is a minor distraction from the beauty of this photo.
Best wishes in the contest!

Not sure Lucien...My eye flows to the right due to the brightness of the flower! Either case, it is a very nice image. Thanks for the explanation..it helped me see what you were doing.
    Be safe also!

I do agree that how the capture of the light does help the center flower to become the POV of this image. The bright color grabbed my eye and true afterwards my started to explore around the rest of the capture but kept drawing me back to that POV. I swear I was seeing that flower grinning(in my mind of course) wink

Amazing capture...yes...light makes all the difference...both flowers are beautiful... composition is very good...focus and clarity is spot on...the dark background is making the flowers pop up and green leaves are adding the contrast to flowers....good luck for the contest

I truly like the flowers light and dark. The brightness of the orange hue, along with the yellow, standing in the light. The muting of the colors in the shadow. Great work.

Your keen eye and observant photographer sense lead you to this scene. The same is not the same in lots of cases.
A great study in light and shade. Construction is wonderful with the offset of the bloom in the shadow.
