Another pictorial gem that you have produced that puts me in a nostalgic mood. Your retired fishing boat picture fondly reminds me of the popular 1951 song by Jo Stafford- Shrimp Boats. Even though I wasn't born yet when that song came out, I grew up enjoying that song because my grandmother played all of Jo Stafford's records.

Excellent lighting in this shot! The dark background really brings out the details of the old boat, the entire picture is well balanced and has great depth and the puddles of water look like little mirrors which help to accent the whole scene.

Beautiful photo....composition is very good...the old boat is looking awesome...it is lying on green grass which is giving good contrast...the road at the front is adding charm to the photo...focus and clarity is good... overall very impressive

A beautiful shot. Judging from the way it seems to be abandoned, the boat must be beyond the point of salvage. I like the way it seems isolated with water both in front and behind it. Great detail in the boat and beautiful colors.

The definition of a talented photographer is one who keeps their eyes open and a camera ready for the unexpected gems. This is one of those gems. I love the way Mother Nature will reclaim anything that is left unattended. The aged fishing boat still has class and the charm of men that made their living while she floated. Great catch.

Apparently this boat got retired a long time ago. It shows signs of decay. The metal is rusting and the mast fell down, its wood rotting. Even so, I can see still signs of its beauty and strength. Your photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. Colors and light are realistic and details are refined. The boat is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

Nice shot of this old boat Pat and with good detail,i might have got a tad nearer and lower to make and take a stronger image rather than a straight forward view,but that said well worth taking...Brian

I am assuming this is a night shot?? Otherwise a very dark background... but the boat is exceptional in detail. We have this variety in our fishing area. With this light you must have used a technique to capture so much detail. The focus is strongly effective. Its amazing me the ground detail. Its also very picturesque. Many a tale I think this boat can tell.
