I got to find a dragonfly. Sharp focus, good lighting and good macro type view.
He is cute for a insect. The detailed wings and his variegated colors on his tail. The muted background helps pop the handsome critter.

A beautiful specimen and a very fine shot. A good job of keeping the film plane parallel to the plane of his body gives you sharp detail from head to tail.

It is such lovely colors in this dragonfly and what looks like dry leaf, has colors matching it so well. The very bright stripe in the upper left corner is a tad distracting, but the background is nicely softened, and the dragonfly is standing out from it in an excellent way.
The focus is spot on and pin sharp showing such clear and well defined details in every part of the dragonfly, and the exposure is perfect.
The cropping is nicely done, and the dragonfly has got a fine placement within the frame. A lovely and well taken photo Fred, and with an excellent DOF.
