Gorgeous image of this deer Nik, I really like the full front view of the face, the outline and excellently detailed ears are just stunning. This would be so much more visible if it were cropped a little tighter.
Just a thought, Thanks for sharing this beautiful creature.

A nice photo Nikman. Crisp and clear with lovely soft colouring, which suits the gentleness of the deer.
My only thoughts are, the actual cutting off at the neck, it instantly make my eyes leave the page, which you don't want to happen. Specially with so much 'space' above. It would be a supertop shot if the cropping included a bit more of the body or, the cropping became tighter so that it looked a more 'on purpose' crop.
I really like the symmetry of the deer's face. A very sweet shot. :)

Keep creating,
Ann, OpenroadFootprint

I'm giving you 5 stars because the head is so well focused, and I know how quickly deer can bolt from the photographer. Your cropping is awkward, however. I'd like to see the "south end" of the neck, but perhaps it simply wasn't in your photo. Thanks for sharing.

this is an awesome shot! The way you captured the light makes it look like the deer has an outline, especially around the ears. I don't feel I would have changed a thing!

I thought it was another portrait of LeeAnn;
what a nice capture of this juvenile deer posing for your camera; sharp focus against the blurred reeds;

What a cute deer and you caught his/her expression perfectly. The focus is great and lets us see all the details of the fur. I love the softly blurred background and the way the deer is lighted around the edges. Well done!

beautiful portrait of this "Irish deer. I wonder how it compare to our american deer. He has a nice softnice to his face and eyes. I love the sharpness of his ears.
