Ah I am out of 6 stars unfortunately. I voted for this -- how interesting that you did it. I didn't guess. I REALLY like it! Perspectives and the contrasts are al perfect. Your roof lines stand out so well against the sky. This is really great and certainly does deserve a 6. I hope it won the contest... My admiration!

    Thank you for the review and comments, AND the vote! I havent the results yet but will be surprised if I do there were some 'canny' entries as a Geordie would say...

what a shame, looks really interesting. Personalising church going into something pleasant and up to date.. love it. Does no one use the building now? you should commandeer it and have exhibitions in it- any sort of exhibitions, from art to cakes! I would run classes in it!!

    I think it might be in use as a social centre or art place. The paintwork is kept fresh even though it looks like on a waste site. I will have a closer look next time I go passed. There is a lot of artists round about but they don't seem to mix. I usually find them by accident. Maybe next year if I can get a group together for art on the island you can give an art talk etc. . We have to see how the Corvid is.

Definitely 'strange'; suits the mural'ed church and imagine it is so odd amongst a more traditional surrounding. :) Some very lovely detail through the cobblestones.
It looks very blurry but I am guessing that's the photo taking. :)
My thoughts: Would have been great to add the spire in at the top as it cuts my eye short and allows it to drift off the page.

All the best in the competition.

    Thank you. I have retaken and sharpened and recropped to catch the top spire. It was all in a bad photo take that I could not get straight thus the spire got chopped. Thanks again for those pointers.

This work of art fits the contest theme perfectly. This is indeed Strange. I have never thought about graffiti be done on the outside of a church. I imagine the members would also be a bit strange also LOL.

Great entry for the contest and I wish you all the best in the judging ~ iPhone7

So, people have really painted this church this way or it is your depiction of the church? I like the look of the cobblestone streets. I used to live on a street that had cobblestone. I love the beautiful blue of the sky. Good job.

    They really have painted the church like this all sides! And it's very clever and skillful art even if a bit weird and strange. When we drive passed it, the fabric of the building looks in good condition. I have a feeling it might be used as a social centre. It certainly catches the eye. I took photos as reference for my artwork which is not totally identical as the church was even more heavily patterned. The tower and side are as it is the front faces are as it is the patterns between are representative.Thank you for your valuable review and interest.

    My pleasure! I hope the people that use the building enjoy the art.

this should be a winner of the "just strange" contest; a true masterpiece on an obviously abandoned church; maybe not resfectful but very funny;

    Thank you for reviewing and your comments. I have a feeling this might be used as a social centre. It doesn't look totally abandoned just strange as it stands on a rough grassed area next to a busy road.

Looks like quite a project or labor of love. Your ability to recreate the scene is amazing. The use of light brightened the scene perfectly. The surrounding landscape. Nice work.

This is fascinating , it doesn't look like a church at all with all of the artwork that has been applied to it.i love the cobblestone street and the shape of this church, well shown shrubs growing around it. Well created under a blue sky. Well presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

Looks like it is in Disney land! What a strange way to paint graffiti on a church. You have done a great job here . Intricate details. Myriad of colours. Dood balance. Good luck in the contest!
