An excellent looking entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and very appropriate composition captures both butterfly and plant very well indeed. The detail in both is great. Exposure and sharpness are spot on. Wonderful photo and good luck!

Your shallow DOF slices across this scene PERFECTLY.
This stunning and me with not more 6's. Crisp, sharp, focused, well lit and displayed perfectly. Gorgeous subject matter and even though the thistle is a weed, it is also pretty as a picture.

I am impressed by the sharpness of detail and the realism of light and color. The refinement of detail is remarkable. The natural light emphasises the butterfly and the thistle superbly. The insect and the plant are excellently placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

A beautiful picture of this Monarch butterfly with the sun glowing through it's wings & the Thistle's purple flower while giving the developing spiked seed head halo of light all glowing out from the blurred background of grass and Thistles. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Amazing click....the butterfly is looking awesome with nice pattern on the wings...and the flower is gorgeous...texture and details of the flower are fantastic...composition is excellent...colour harmony is very good....the green background with dash of pink is adding charm to the photo....good luck for the contest
