I think its an interesting photo and shows of a unique structure but I do think that a vertical version would have shown us more and wonder if b/w would also have been a tad better, but not sure on that one...Brian

Nik,
A beautiful picture of the upper level of the Brooklyn Bridge including the cables, twin arched tower two circular discs on either side with Old Glory flying in between them on the tower. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera technique & sharp focus.

Every once in a while, it pays to look up. your capture of the uppers cable and structural parts of the bridge is a real testimony to the engineers of their day. The use of Photoshop's software almost gives this shot feeling of sepia tones mixed with B/W influences.
Your crop is perfectly balanced that forces our eyes upward to see what you saw. Excellent image and good luck on the contest.

This is a great photo. Perspective is really powerful here. The white background does this a lot of justice and brings out the engineering that went into building the bridge.

This is a great image. Such detail. So many lines and great architecture. You have captured it beautifully. Depth and dimension. Interest and clarity. Good exposure and focus. Nicely accomplished.

I really like how this photo shows the precise symmetry that the engineers crafted when they designed this bridge. It almost looks like one of those images where the artist mirrored one half is the image to match the other half. The realism of the photo seems to combine with some abstract design elements.
