Love this one Eileen you have definitely nailed the focus which is sharp on the eye and the mating plumage fanned in background is shown with excellent clarity. White balance and exposure are perfectly handled. :)

A fantastic shot. The white plumage is well exposed and that spray of mating plumes makes a perfect background. Very nice cropping and great colors and sharp features in the face.

What an excellent photo! I only have words of praise! The white is not blown out. The feathers are well captured. I could count them if I wanted to. The curves in the neck of the egret and the colors in the beak and eyes couldn't have been posed any better. Good luck in the contest. If you don't win, there is something wrong.

Must be swatting gnats..lol. the angle of the shot of this birds facial with stray feathers is great. The clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall
