A very nice shot that is well cropped into this panoramic presentation. Are the cygnets white when they hatch; at what age do they start to turn black? A fine shot with beautiful colors.

Thanks Mike they can have 3-9 eggs and once hatched are a grey/brown color - they start getting black feathers after around a month.

Another very good looking nature shot posted here! Your fine and appropriate composition grants us an enjoyable view of your swan family. Yes, those parents do seem to be very watchful. Nicely done!

I only have my Smarphone at the moment but even on this small screen this looks excellent. I like the wide angle that lets us set the scene then the family spread out to be enjoyed individually. The swans are clear, i can see down on the babies, the backdrop is a sense of their surroundings ... the light capture on the water brings movement its a nice one here to enjoy.

Lovely picture , capturing an immediate moment with this family of black swan. Great lighting . Only wish that the top was not cropped off.

The adult specimens have what I like calling a, 'Elasmosaurian' look about them that I like very much!
