You really captured the crisp details on this foxglove bloom. The lighting is soft but very effective in delivering a great clear look at the inner workings of the stamen. The grouping of the four blooms balances the scene perfectly. The green foliage gives a great background canvas to display the purple flowers.

Some beautiful shades of pink, magenta, and purple here. The colors caught my eye and after reading your narrative I was reminded of another cardiac drug, digoxin. Way to go Fred! This one really hit close to home!

digoxin is extracted from Digitalis lanata while digitalin is from Digitalis purpurea; very similar activity;

A beautiful shade of pink blossoms. I generally get a foxglove or two in the spring in the hopes that the hummingbirds would approve. It doesn't always happen. I like this square presentation with the great colors.
