This Rose is lovely. Her red color is delightful. The combination of the complimentary colors green and red is always attractive. Your photo is perfect focused and exposed and has good depth. I am impressed by the sharpness of detail. The reflections in the rain drops are impressive. The rose is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

Thanks Cleo for your comments, I appreciate them. I usually find red roses in full sunlight almost impossible to capture correctly, the overcast helped on this shot.

I am ready to get wet and go out to pick this rose. The DOF is as good as I have seen in a long time. It is reaching out of the scene for me to pick. The soft light and muted green foliage also helps lift the bloom out of the scene. Focus and sharp, crisp and clean lines of the petals is perfect. Good luck in the contest.
