Crisp focus and tight crop makes this a interesting shot for the observer. The details for the dragonfly gives minute details not usually seen as they buzz around. That fact you got close enough to get this great shot, you must walk very softly.

This close-up is excellent. I am impressed by the sharpness of detail and the realism of light and color. Your photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. The eyes and the transparent wings are especial interesting. The insect is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

I have a cool idea...take all your dragonfly captures and create a short lil video..it would be cool if could use the theme my music to "game if thrones" for the background while flipping the images . That would cool huh? The clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The angle of the shot of this dragonfly is great. The image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

A beautiful stop action picture of the Black-tail Skimmer Dragonfly walking along the branch the sun shining through it's gossamer wings & catching the sparkle in it's eye. It's shadow seen beneath it. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Not to sure fred abount unexpected angles theme,but that aside its an excellent shot of this skimmer with good detail,i have tried to get good photos of dragonflys etc,but so far nowhere as good as this one....Brian
