This is so beautiful ! A very nice capture of this butterfly. Does it have a short name? I think the markings are in focus remarkably well giving quite a pop to the lighter colour markings. I like how you have framed the piece using surrounding foliage that she is resting on. The leaf markings the way you have snapped them are really good in that the colour is highlighted and engages with the wings. Very nice...

other names: the Peleides blue morpho, common morpho or the emperor

Fred,
A beautiful picture of the Morpho peliedes Buttery showing us the less colourful but equally beautiful underside of it's wings with it's seven eyes.In colours of Cafe au lait & cream contrasting with the gold, green & touches of red in the leaves it is alighted on. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
