Hey Chuck,

Almost missed this one. What a perfect title for this stop action scene. There is just enough blurring of the basketball to give a nice sense of motion.

This looks like an inner city hoop with no net, a backboard that needs painting and obviously gets a lot of use.

Great entry for the contest and I wish you all the best in the voting Chuck ~ Steve

A well timed shot to catch the ball as it went through the hoop. The motion blur on the ball is very nice and the brick wall in the background is typical of an urban court. Best of luck in the contest.

I am impressed. This shot is stunning. The stop-in-action is perfect. The motion blow shows the spin of the ball excellently. Your photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the realism of color and light and the sharpness of detail. The photo is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

A very fine entry for this contest Chuck, and the title you have given it is perfect. I can almost hear the sound of the ball. I especially like how well all the textures are brought out, and also the color pallet.

Perhaps the stop action could have been better, but on the other hand the blurred ball is giving the viewer a feeling of speed. The rest of the photo is very sharp, and the exposure is perfect.

I also like the way you have cropped the photo and the placement of the ball off to the left. A fine looking and well taken photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.

great shot Chuck!
Swish! Lol. Perfect timing. I love the urban looking back drop! The chipping backboard is cool and the brick adds another interesting layer! Great job!

I see on the right side of the ball a lot of white glue, keeping the ball as if it was fallen through the ring; lol,
don't worry, I was just jocking; a very good stop action.

This reminds me of young years near my house. It was a dirt court and we didn't have a net either. Being it was in the 60's to early 70's in Mississippi..the local towns folk would call my dad and wanting to know if I was into drugs because I was hanging with the blacks playing ball..my senior year rumor was spreading thru town that I asked a black girl out for the prom. Really I had a part time job then and had to work that prom night. However in the back of my head I was wondering who the girl was and what did she look like? I was wondering if I had some secret admirer. Sadly all I know is it was another BS from the rednecks..I was so ready to join the army and get the hell out of mississippi..lol. This is cool. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this netless hoop is great. The capture of the light is great. The image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Chuck,
A beautiful stop action picture of the Base ball falling through the loop (minus it's Net) the fence around the court prevents the ball from going outside. A slight movement blur seen around the falling ball. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
