Hi Jirina!
That Swallowtail Butterfly certainly is a handsome creature, isn't it?
Your photograph of it perching on that rock is beautifully focused and very enjoyable to look at,my friend!

What a beauty of a shot excellent biological details right down to those fine antlers and legs. The markings have come out particularly well. I like the plain effect of the backdrop and stone. Overall a very nice capture

Beautiful picture of this Pale Swallowtail. The color of the background and the color of the rock enhances the colors of the butterfly. Good focus and lighting. Sharp detail. All colors and tones seem natural. Well done. Good luck in the photo contest.

This is an interesting close-up. I am impressed by the sharpness of detail and the realism of light and color. Your PoV allows us to study the markings at the wings and the body feature of the butterfly throughout. The strong cast shadow of the insect on the stone is especial interesting. The butterfly is perfect placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

I have never seen a butterfly like this. Due to the lack of a typical tail I doubt that it is any kind of swallowtail, but it certainly is a beautiful specimen and a very fine shot. Best of luck in the contest.

good contest entry, good light along with good focus and clarity really picks out the detail in this lovely swallowtails like the softness of the butterfly against the
rough rock, the shadow adds interest to the scene, good shot, good luck in the contest.

A very nice image of this butterfly. I am not sure of the species yet I do not believe it is a Pale Swallowtail. No big thing.

The colors are natural and the butterfly is well positioned in the frame. The bright rock makes for a nice contrast to the darker wings.

A very nice entry for the contest and I wish you all the best in the judging ~ iPhone7

I am not expert on butterflies, the Google was indicating that it is the closest image found in Idaho - who knows. Thank you so much for your valuable feedback.
