I really like the simplicity of this photo, and also the limited color pallet. The yellow wild flower is truly pretty, and with the softened background, it is standing out in an excellent way.
Your focus is spot on and sharp showing clear and well defined details both in the petals and the center of the flower, and the exposure is perfect.
I also like the format you have cropped the photo into and the placement of the flower within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
