Dragonflies are one of my favorite insects. They are delightful when they land on you. Wings here are delicate. nice focus. I just noticed the one red tip on each wing. Awesome.

His wings are so transperant. At first I wonder what those black lines were.:) Nice looking shot! The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

you can't go wrong with a dragonfly on a leaf as long as they stay. Nicely centered, good clarity on the body of the dragonfly. i like his red body. here in nj they are different.

A beautiful picture of the male Vagrant Darter Dragonfly alighted on the pale underside of a green leaf that contrasts with the red of the Dragonfly & it's shadow on the leaf. The sunlight catching the sparkle in it's eyes, while highlighting it's head, wings thorax & long red abdomen. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
