he looks like i do when im thinking of what im gonna draw next..we could probably sit next one another and we would be a matching pair..lol. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of this birds facial is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Definitely appears that the wind is messing with his feathers, perhaps that would explain the somewhat annoyed look on his face? Anyway,it's a great capture, nicely focused with good eye clarity, and the light seem to be illuminating his beak. Very well taken!

A well composed portrait of the heron as he stares into the distance. The wind ruffled feathers on his head do look quite funny - your handling of color, white balance and exposure are all good with great focus.

A great windblown look and a very fine portrait of your heron. I like the determined look in his eye and, of course, that patch of feathers standing up on his forehead.

Actually I find him hep and tuff!:) A fine portrait shot of the grey heron. The light, and the composition have worked well and you have caught the tough look on the bird's face very well. Good effort!

Fred,
A beautiful picture of this Grey Heron, it's head tucked into it's shoulders, it's crown feathers raised & the sun glowing through it's long golden beak, it's eye watching you closely . Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus,
Susan

Yes, just a touch funny because of your head feathers blowing in the wind! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable heron portrait. Like the long orange-yellow beak. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely taken!
