Why do you always post a photo like this when I just used my last six stars rating ? You have pictured this lovely dragonfly so well, and I like very much the background as well. The light is falling so lovely on the insect, and it is standing out from the background in an excellent way.
The photo is pin sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in the dragonfly. The exposure is spot on.
I also like the way you have cropped the photo and the diagonal placement of the dragonfly within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo Allan, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

This close-up is intriguing. I am impressed by the realism of color and light and the sharpness of detail and textures. The spotted, but partly translucent wings are especial interesting. The metallic gleam of the body is striking. The photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. The insect is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
