Your photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. The high-key approach is intriguing. The colors appear realistic. The bird stand well out from the shallow background. The placement of the Budgerigar within the frame pleases the eyes of the viewer. The framing is adequate. The composition is balanced.
I appreciate your interesting information in your comments.

What a spectacular parrot nicely presented in the tree. Great composition and overall presentation. Wonderful details and natural coloring on the bird with effective white background.

A beautiful bird in a fine natural setting. The plumage of the bird is remarkably sharp and its colors are fantastic. A well composed image of a bird that we rarely see outside a cage.

Nice one Mary.. love the Budgies!! I have two!

I feel this shot could have benefited from more cropping to get rid of some of that glaring white by his head... but the details in the bird are perfect.

Thanks Eileen - we looked after a friends budgie years ago with great care covering it every night, feeding it, making sure water was clean and it died within a couple of days returning it to them. Apparently they had never covered it so on return it got scared as it was left uncovered.

wow.. I cover mine everynight.. but they are now used to it and demand it... so sorry to hear they got so scared.

A good looking nature shot posted here. Your fine and classical composition offers us and enjoyable view of your budgie. As a boy, I had a green and blue one. They were great to play with! Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!

I have never seen a Budgerigar like this in it's native state only caged.
Well captured and the colours are true to life. Good clarity and focus on the yellow and green Budgerigar as the leaves drift into the background. A pleasure to view!
