it is obviously a silver plate covered with fish bones, back to the kitchen after the guests had an excellent dinner; the red spots is blood from a guest who wasv hurt by a fish bone;

That's an interesting interpretation of this one. With this kind of abstract everyone sees something different. Thanks a lot for your review Fred.

Well you could name it the angel of death..I mean it is a dead bird..I'm sure it smelled good. Oh I know..new Goth look..lol. the clarity is great. The angle of the shot of this dead bird is great. The capture of the light is great..the image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall Top

Looks like a pretty good entry into the competition posted here! My name would be "Old Restaurant Gear"! I think this because I believe I can see spoons, food racks and bowls. No doubt, though, I expect I am completely wrong?! Well created and good luck!

LOL. Thanks NIK. To tell you the truth I am not really sure what this is now. I know what the original was but I messed around enough with it until even I don't recognize it. That's what I love about abstracts. I like your title "Old Restaurant Gear"! Thanks for your Great review my friend ~ Steve

Wow! This is visually exciting! Abstract images are something that one has to see from one's mind. This fits the bill perfectly. Will make a good cover for a horror story! Good luck in the contest!

Thank you for your very encouraging review. And you are right it would make a great cover for a Steven King type horror novel.

THis had an ominous feel to it right from the get go! I see black weathered feathers and claws of a very still bird. From what I see of this, a battle ensued, one that did not go well for this fellow! Drops of red indicate a desperate battle. This bird could have been the attacker looking for food or the attackee. For this particular bird it was a "Death Flight"! I don't know if that' what you had in mind, but it was the sheer darkness of this image that made that come to mind! Powerful is the image you created and definitely reigns in a six star rating! Death Flight seems to suit this well! Steve, you deserve a six for the impact this image has! :o) NAncy

Thank you so much Nancy for your very insightful and instinctive review. The title "Death Flight" is most appropriate. This was indeed a dead bird. I don't know what happened but it worked for an abstract image. Thank you for your more than Generous rating Nancy and Great review ~ Steve

Maybe I have been locked away with the birds for too long but this looks like that carcass of a dead bird washed up on the rocks. It is certainly strange and the kind of thing that would do well in this contest. Good luck.

Captured Rapture!

first thing I thought of when I saw this was the velociraptor in Jurassic park.

Like a bull dozer came along and is sweeping him away before he kills again :)

Anyway, that is what I saw.. I love the colors and textures here BFF... ah, lessons?

So interesting abstract mixed media with intricate manipulation. I read the review and I can see what it once was, but I can interpret the middle to represent some creature with a big ring steeling something from the box. The lid above is decorated with stones and feathers.
Great presentation and food for thoughts. I am not very good with names, maybe : one more?
Which could be interpreted as one more bird death - maybe do to pollution. Or The beast looking for one more piece of treasure.

Thank you Jirina. That is what I like about creating abstract work. Everyone sees something different in the image. One can tell a lot about the person and their experiences in the way the image is interpreted. As a psychotherapist I always found that very fascinating. Thank you again for you enlightening review ~ Steve

Hi Steve!
The picture makes me think of the depths of my own Black Heart ( which I guess some people would call a 'soul' ) but I'll hang back from 'naming' the picture and simply enjoy it!
It's unusual and fun to look at!

This is a creatively manipulated photo! I love the bright colors and the many patterns - textures are very eye-catching. I wouldn't want to guess what it is but I would assume that there are some rocks there...Great Work!!
