We have lots of these on Culatra as well as banana trees, the bananas never fruit but we get some gorgeous blooms of the smaller variety. I particularly like how you get the viewer right into the centre of the plant giving a real sense of being there. The capture takes on the darker aspects of the colour spectrum and it's working really well. The light building and blue sky make an excellent background.

This looks very familiar. These are found in many gardens in Mexico (leaving for there tomorrow for 6-7 months).

Most of the hotels have these are part of their foliage display. Hope to get some shots of these in the near future. Nice work here Fred ~ Steve

An interesting picture of these faded Bird of Paradise Flowers under the over hanging Palm Trees outside your hotel in Crete. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques& sharp focus.
