Thanks for reminding us how fortunate we are even in this time of Covid. The is heartbreaking but is reenacted everyday all over the world. The vivid colors give life to the reality of this shot. As a society, we need work toward extending a helping hand to the less fortunate souls of this world. Thanks again for posting this reminder of the less fortunate of our society.

This is a thoughtful composition about poverty.
There is focus and clarity here.
And, the photo says so much.
I have taken this type of photo in the U.S. and out of the country. I'm glad you shared it.

Indeed a very bad situation...but as a society we are hopeless...we don't treat our senior citizens with respect they deserve...I am always sad to see their plight...it is a common sight in our country.....

A sorry commentary on the state of affairs in today's world. The image is beautifully composed and the old lady is shown in fine detail and great colors.

Absolutely! This is so common in third world countries where poverty appears to be a curse. Mostly man-made! But to see this happening in developed and rich countries is really heartbreaking!

Oh yeah starvation happens in this country for both young and old. You would hear ..oh why don't they go to a food bank? Sure.. expired can goods.. veggies and fruit that is about to rot .dog food starts looking good. The clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The angle of this old dumpster diver is great. The image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Fred,
A very sad picture of the elderly Lady searching in the refuse bin on the street. Beautifully composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

What a sad sight - we have people search through bins for cans and bottles for the 10c refund on recycling. Homelessness has increased and lack of care of our elderly by relatives is increasing as we are all "too busy". A good photo to remind us to be grateful for our good lives.
