Thank you for the post. We all should remember the sacrifices made on behalf of us all. These were the Greatest Generation. The memorial is well done. Our little town is finishing our new Veteran's Memorial Park with stone tiles with local veteran's names. My father and his three brothers will be installed there. The mainly b/w is the right way to expose this scene. Well done.

Interesting photo that you captured here. If you add up the font, "diss Town remembers", I think it would be much more appropriate to spell THIS properly. But maybe that's my age I can't stand that kind of slang. ð?¥´ IMHO

Brian,
A beautiful & image of the War Memorial in Diss with selective colour highlighting the red of the Poppies the symbol of memory from the time of the First World War & this year 75 years from the end of the Second. Artistic & very beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with care, superb camera & editing techniques & sharp focus.
Good luck in the contest.
I remembered my Grandfather & his brother who died in 1914 & 17 . Thanks for this beautiful picture.
