A very attractive image here Susan. The two photos work well together. The colors are vibrant and eye catching. The focus is sharp showing good detail. The lower left photo is especially nice as it shows the breast complimenting the colors of the wing.

Nice work here Susan ~ Steve

Great capture susan,
Sharp focus on the kingfisher in
Both frames, nice idea to show
Both poses, good strong eye and beak detail, beautiful strong
But natural colour, particularly like the light captured on the
Birds plumage, very well done.
A pleasure to view.

Your composite is impressive. Both photos of the Kingfisher are excellent focused and exposed and have good depth. I am impressed by the sharpness of detail and the realism of color and light. The adjustments are appropriate. The photos are well placed at the unobtrusive background. The mixed media is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

A beautiful bird and a very fine presentation. Around here the kingfishers have been gone for a couple weeks. I think I like the inset image better than the larger one.

Getting fancy, nice bit of creativity and technical savoy. I am learning a lot about the various kinds of kingfishers from several members. This blue one is a beautiful bird and quite small. The intense look in his eye tells me he is looking to kill something. Well structured and layered for a look appearance.

    Gary,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Eurasian Kingfisher ~ Alcedo atthis that is found through out Europe, Asia, Japan & Africa South of the Sahara. They weigh little more than an Onze, are about 6 + inches long with a wingspan of 10 inches. A lot of the time all you see is an iridescent blue bullet flashes past you while they are in flight. They catch tiny fish one to two inches in length. This picture was taken as it was digesting it's last catch that it swallowed whole head first.

A very good pair of nature shots posted here! Each composition offers us an enjoyable view of a beautiful kingfisher and its location. Its colours and beak. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!
