This artwork is so cool! I can really see the hard work you have put into this piece. All the dots you have used have a variety of colors and I'm amazed to see these individual colors all coming into this lioness's face. When I take a step back it looks realistic and like a cool drawing but when I look closer I see the tiny details and dots you have put it just amazes me. Very nicely presented and drawn!

I am pleased you liked it well enough to award it a 6 star rating. I am honored by you giving the drawing this award, it means a lot.

Pointillism is one of my favorite ways to draw, it forces you to really look at the subject, the structure of the object or scene and the colors that are there as you dissect and then reconstruct what you are looking at.

Thank you for your time and kind words in your review of my lioness drawing, and the wonderful rating, your time in doing so are appreciated.

Take care and have a good week.

    Cheers,

A very nice image. I can't imagine how long it must take to place those dots one at a time. I like the expression you have captured and the beautiful color palette.

This is a realistic, perfectly coloured, and skillfully executed pointillistic drawing. Superb technique. You have captured the majestic look of the lioness well. Good luck!

The final product looking at the overall facial gives the great shading and realistic feel. Lucien my study of a sorta pointillism was from the cartoonist of DC, Marvel, Warren Publishing, and Heavy Metal. Thru trial and error over and over I was slowly getting it right. However, this past decade here on FAR I have learned so much from masters like yourself that has helped me give me that extra hurl I was looking for and I thank you for that. (Thumbs up)

Your mind's eye is amazing. The see the finished figure in your head before starting this masterpiece is pure creativity. The close-up view is perfect. The balance of the facial feature is good and the shade and shadows are used perfectly. The eyes are intense and have life. Stunning work.

You got me on this one. I am a retired school teacher. I loved it when the art class did pointillism and displayed it in the case for their work. None nearly as good as this. I love the beautiful use of color in her eyes. The eyes have it.

A very good looking entry into the competition posted here! Your very close up composition grants us an enjoyable view of your lioness who somehow looks a little depressed? Otherwise colours and textures are good. Nicely drawn!
