I really like how the early morning light gives this guy a glorious golden glow! The darker coloration of the water really contrasts nicely with his sunlit plumage. makes for a very eyecatching image,nicely composed and very well seen and taken!

A beautiful bird. They say "the early bird catches the worm" but I rather suspect this guy is out for something bigger than worms. The light is great and the colors are beautiful.

A beautiful & interesting picture of the Squacco Heron ~ Ardeola ralloides it's sandy coloured plumage glowing gold lit up by the rays of the rising sun behind it the water surrounding it's island reflecting the still night sky above. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
