This is great,I love the fish in his bill with that autumn leaf adding a nice pop of color. Beautifully taken, excellent focus and sharp reflection, the heron stands out well against the grasses, the color saturation is gorgeous. A fantastic image!

A very nice shot although not much of a meal. Both the heron and his catch are well shown and that leaf is a definite plus. An attractive composition with a great reflection.

Love the reflection of the Heron and your composition is excellent. The red leaf really stands out as the bird wonders what to do with its catch. Great color and focus is good.

I thought that he is bringing you leaves as a sign of gratitude instead of red flowers. Great photograph with superb reflections, colors and suitable grasses in the background.

Fred,
A beautiful profile picture of the Grey Heron with a small fish & a russet coloured Sycamore leaf clasped in it's beak before swallowing the fish, head first. The perfect reflection on the lake's surface is an added bonus. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Looks like and sounds like you have a very clever and advanced heron living out there! Your fine and traditional composition offers us an enjoyable view of your handsome heron and its location. Like the wing detail and reflection. Sharpness and exposure are good. Nicely done!

Hi supergold
Wow. This is a lovely photograph of a peckish heron impatiently awaiting dinner. I like the reflection which makes it look even more impatient. Thanos for sharing this. R
