So sorry for my late reply; I have been going through a rough ride with my three year ordeal with trying to establish UK citizenship among other things. I am glad you liked my "on the edge of the night" post! I just posted a bucking horse season's greetings card as well...

I love the way you realised your commission. Could be difficult to achieve but here you have included all and make it both intreguing and fascinating. Much to enjoy. I like your lady, I thought she was floating between but there I see a pathway dividing the day from night. Good colour pallet, it is very good how you managed the effect of day and night on your scenery. I am sure your customer will be delighted.

I have a two hour Interview with HMPO on the 19th over a poor Internet connection. They are going to go over my 60 documents with me... wish me luck!!

you made such a great choice with the subject matter and the choice details. there is a lovely contrast with the night and day effect and the eye follows the young lady with the candle. the design is very charming and reflects the complete harmony of the yin and yang symbol.

Thank you so much for your positive review Mr. Jones -- I'll have to look up which is yin and which is yang.... I am in a cycle w friend you know of discussing doing 50 "New Age" fortune telling cards complete with some sort of astrological symbology on each one applicable to some some event that is supposed to begin with Jupiter doing something grand this December, lol.... I suggested Torbelinos for swords and gold nuggets for wealth, horses heads for cups -- funny how projects can fall "into" one another sometimes.. I requested I might require a "barn burner" laptop before considering such a project... ha ha but you never know...

The concept is intriguing. It makes the viewers thinking and triggers their imagination. I imagine the musician as the personification of love. In my imagination she is humming a melody which changes into birdsong and flies into a happy future. The candle light overcomes the silver light of the moon, because it is golden. Night and day seem two half's of the same connected by love and music. Your creation is well composed. The colors are alluring. The musician is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
