A beautiful woodie and a fine shot. The ice is well exposed and I like that little strip of open water that catches just a hint of his reflection. Best of luck in the contest.

A beautiful picture of the Wood drake attired in his beautiful colourful & exotically looking plumage watching you closely with his red eye as he walks on the ice with his partial reflection seen in the patch of open water. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

looks like he is having cold feet..wink..lol..nice capture. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this duck walking on ice is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Beautiful capture of this handsome drake wood duck out on the ice,i like the inclusion of the open water,showing a sliver of reflection,the golden tones in the foreground contrasting with the bluish undertone of the ice. A great choice for the contest,wish you all the best!

Quite a nice nature photo posted here! Think your title is rather strange, but maybe that is because I am a Brit. Like your ducks plumage and reflection. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!
