Lee Ann,
A beautiful portrait of your beloved Golden Retriever Shiloh a stick in his mouth, his eyes fixed in the distance his long fluffy coat keeping him warm. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

Nice composition.
Well focused and good clarity.
This is a beautiful dog. The details of the face and eyes show intent. The hair beautifully frames the dog while he is holding on to his treasure. The colors are complimentary. And, the background does not distract from the photo.

Very pretty Golden you have, my own Golden sadly past away from cancer earlier this year. For being a retriever she didn't retrieve very well. You could through a stick or a ball and tell her to go get it, and she would sit there and look at you like you were crazy. So I'm glad to see you dog got the right idea about being a retriever. Very well composed details are perfect, and good job getting Shiloh to sit still long enough to get a clean photo.

I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful girl,I have only had four dogs so far in my life, all Goldens, and the last three all lost their battles with cancer,so I know your pain and heartache all too well. Yes,Shiloh enjoys retrieving,it?s the giving up that?s a bit tricky-lol! Fortunately he saw his ?Daddy? pull into grandmas driveway across the road, which got his attention, otherwise he?s usually not too cooperative when it comes to getting his photo taken. And Welcome to FanArt! :) LeeAnn

Wonderful photograph of your golden retriever enjoying his breaks after accomplishing his task getting the stick.
Great details on the fur and realistic colors that show so nicely. Very suitable contest gentry!

This is a perfect portrait. The photo is excellent focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. The photo has good depth. The sharpness of detail and textures is impressive. I see his eyelashes and whiskers and even single silky hairs moving in the breeze. I enjoy the realism of color and light. The tight framing is adequate, The dog is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

A very good looking dog shot posted here! Your fine and full composition offers us a grand portrait view of Shiloh and his stick. He does not look as if he will give it up easily! Like the shiny eye and fur detail. Well done and good luck!

A beautiful dog with great color (they seem to be breeding them more blonde nowadays). I like his pose and the look in his eyes. Best of luck in the contest.

Thanks for both your review and well wishes! Some breeders have been breeding American goldens with English Goldens (which tend to be cream or light gold in color),the English breed is healthier and tends to live longer and are supposedly not as prone to cancer.
