Wow! This is amazing, yet sobering. I'm a member of FanStory, not FanArt, so I wandered in, curious because several writers had used one of your Mixed Media photographs, "Metamorphosis" (I had to look through your portfolio, back to page 8, and 2013, to find it; you've done a number of these beautiful kaleidoscopic pieces).
Then I saw this, very interesting! I saw the resemblance to Covid-19, immediately. I read your description and everything fits. But before I did, I saw it in a different way: that Earth is sending out a death-ray to Covid-19! This is not meant to be a statement about the vaccines, but a viewpoint of hope; my hope is in God. I am fully convinced that the virus was man-made -- not completely, of course; it was found in nature, then genetically tweaked, to be the plague it became; various theories abound as to the reasons for this "deadly intent."
I think we all can agree that too many people have died. I keep praying that God will remove this monstrosity from our midst. I grieve for the normalcy that was left behind, and am not content with the "new normal," as it now stands. Thanks for your artistic contribution to the outcry against this disease.
You are a very prolific artist! I am nowhere as prolific as a writer, being currently very bogged down with some personal and family issues, but this, too, will pass. I really enjoyed skimming through your portfolio, and may return, if I need artwork for future writing (sometimes I supply my own photos). I really like both your photographs, your artwork, and your mixed media. Sometimes I have used FanArt, only to have the pictures disappear when the artist dropped out of FanArt, but I can see that it's unlikely to happen with you, since you've been with them for so long. It's been nice to meet you, Nancy, and may God bless you. Please stay safe, also.

Hi Mary Kaye, I don't think I've ever received such a lengthy review. I'm thrilled you found my work so interesting. I am honored you spent the time to to go thru my portfolio and am glad you enjoyed what you saw. I know how you feel about finding an image for your writing.... and then the artist leaves the site. I am a member of Fan Story as well and have had the same thing happen to me. MY name is Helvi2 there too. I wrote a poem about Covid 19 and posted it there. It's called, "The Year We Won't Forget". Since I only wrote 7 poems this year it wouldn't be hard to find if you wanted to read it.
I don't know where Covid-19 came from but I'm sad that so many suffered from it. I sometimes wonder if it will ever disappear. I would like to see the old normal again! Thank you so much for all your kind words. Please feel free to use my art portfolio here for your writing. I would be honored to have you use it. I'm not planning to leave the site. It's been nice for me to meet you as well. Take care! :o) Nancy

Thanks for your reply, Nancy. I'm very happy to meet you. I didn't realize that you're also on FanStory. That's great! I hope to read your post sometime, about Covid-19. Stay safe, and may God bless you, my new friend.
Love, Mary Kay xoxo

A very topical image of the trying times the whole world is going through! Yes, the virus particles are speeding through space, towards us, to reinforce the ones already here. Don't want to be caught by one of those menacing spikes. Nicely created!

This is an interesting and thoughtful composition.
I appreciate what you are saying. We have and are experiencing so much negative. I too believe- there is hope. Your piece is explained well. The focus and clarity are very good. I like the way you interpreted the virus in this art. They look like little spaceships attacking earth while the ring represents a defense from the vaccine.
And, the attention to detail throughout this composition is well done. The colors are complimentary.
Good Work.

The first look is impressive image, that can probably only done by mixed media. The bright green is attention getter for this imaginative presentation.
Nice composition and effective presentation against black background.
Stay healthy and away from these fast moving ball. Hopefully we are getting some solutions for this awful virus.

Hi Jirinal, I thought this was a cool way to represent the Corona virus. I'm so happy you liked the way I presented it! Thanks for the great review! :o) Nancy

This is a very impactable artwork. Your notes are well written and your illustration perfectly shows the horrific story enclosed. There is dynamics here with the positive and negative challenges. The construction is very good. My eyes look at the virus probes and then in turn to the globe of our earth. The ring around is broken but has a chance of joining to chase the virus out. I love the colour pallet. There are well displayed dimensional effects. A very interesting piece. Well done.

Hi Brenda, Thank you so much for all the plusses in you review! With all the negative we've been thru I wanted to present this image in a way that had some positive vibes to it! So man people need something to lift their spirit and hope has a way of doing that! I'm thrilled you liked the way I presented this with notes and image. You gave me a huge smile with your wonderful review! :o) Nancy

Those covid-19 virus's are looking malignant and very dangerous. It is obvious that they want to kill every creature who comes near them, but also shows that the defenses of our planet are getting stronger. This creation could be a warning poster for all people on earth. I can see that you spend a lot of thoughts on this creation.
Your mixed media is excellent composed. The different sizes of the attackers create a interesting 3D view The light effects are interesting. The mixed media is perfect composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

Hi Cleo, You just bowled me over with your incredible review!!!! Thank you so much!!!! I wish more people took Covid-19 more seriously. How can one complain that Covid -19 has cramped their lifestyle if they refuse to social distance and wear a mask? AS long as you're are out and about not taking precautions, Covid 19 will not hightail it out of here. Super Thank you My Friend and Stay Well! :o) Nancy

Wow! This is an incredible mixed media image originating from growths on your juniper bush.
It's very convincing, it shows the virus rapidly moving towards the earth.
You are so creative and have such a wonderful imagination ! This is awesome! Very well presented!
