Carl first of all my sincerest condolences. It is so hard to lose a loved one. She will always live in your heart.
Your work is heartfelt. I can feel your release of emotion.
I see an angel in the center in the lighter area wearing a white dress lifting upwards toward the heavenly skies. She is free from pain. She is light and happy to be released.
A beautiful tribute to your angel in heaven.
Continue to fill your heart and art with her love for you and yours for her.
Beautifully accomplished.

Thank you for your six star vote and your comments Monica. I appreciate both. And I can say no more. I am suddenly becoming unable to read these reviews. Have a merry Christmas.

Carl look center top above the most white light. Do you see her smiling face? I do. She is free. ((((Hugs)))
Please take comfort in your memories. You are lucky she was such a large part of your life.

You can see at a glance that this is full of emotion. Its vibrant in those colours and variations of blue.
There is a mystical element. I can see a cross and a figure within. I imagine on this large canvas it is absolutely stunning.

My heart is with you in your handling of your situation and in your loss.

Thank you very much for your six star vote, comments and your vision as you see what the painting told me it wanted to become. Look at the top center more closely and you will see a suggested woman's face in profile.

This is beautiful and it came from a beautiful place. I love the colors you chose to use. It looks like a place of peace. Could that be the white light people that had near death experiences talk about? I am sorry for your loss. I pray that the peace of God takes over your grief.

Thank you for your comment. Don't sweat the small stuff. You, like everyone else are entitled to your opinion at the time you expressed it. We all should do the best we can at the moment we do it. And we all are entitled the time to learn. I valued your comments much more so than your star vote. So, rest easy your heart Julie. You have not offended me by your vote.

It does, I think its the colours you chose, I love blues and whites, I am so sorry for your loss and they way you had to deal with it, it could not have been easy, and the fact that she lasted 24 hours makes it even harder, The fact that its small on the site does not give it justice, I hope doing this piece made you feel better, your effort is very appreciated by this artist, I havent tried pallet knives yet, this is very inspirational

Thank you for your five star vote and your comments. You are correct with comment at the viewing size on a computer screen. At three by four feet in size it commands attention and visual exploration.

I understand your situation. I had to make the same decision. Although, I know there was no choice, I felt the loss double and I felt guilty. The cold blue color shades and the white flash within symbolize for me the contradiction of emotions. The painting is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

A very good looking entry into the competition posted here! Sorry to learn about the loss of your wife and the manner of it. Think I can see her ascending up and through the blue heavens. Well painted and good luck!

Thank you for your concern and hopes. The simple fact that you saw what I painted is solace enough. You need not worry any further my friend.

I am so sorry for your loss. At the same time I rejoice in her Freedom from the bonds of this earthly plane.

This says exactly that. the blues and greens all swirling in our surround chaos (or so it appears to us). Chaos does indeed follow the rhythm of the the universe. When we pass to the next plane of existence our essence (soul) is like a pure light, a pure aspect of chaos which becomes one with and yet remains separate from the chaotic rhythm.

She is now experiencing that which we are all created to experience. She is waiting Carl. Then eternal bliss ~ Steve

My condolences for the loss of your wife. No matter how we feel we are prepared for the end of life, we never are. We lost our son a little over 2.5 years ago after only 12 days of his diagnosis. Your artwork speaks volumes and it is true testament to your wife and your love for her. The use of pallet knives has resulted in an amazing collage of light of heaven opening and the waves that carried her. The amount of effort and skill must have left you exhausted. But the sense of completion and satisfaction was equally exhilarating. This artwork will be a lasting memorial to your wife and the life you had together.
