I could immediately recognise your style Steve without seeing the name; there is always something special in the colors; outstanding sharp details of the crashing waves;

I hear the sound of wind and weaves in my mind, sometimes angry, sometimes soothing, but the melody is always beautiful. Your photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. The mixed media filters are carefully applied. The seascape looks indeed dramatic. The square framing is efficient. The composition is balanced.

Yes, BFF.. I can hear it now, crashing across the rocks below.
I miss the sound of the ocean. you would think living in florida I would visit the beach more.. but I hardly have the time.
Great work BFF and best of luck to you!

Now this is truly what I think is the perfect entry for this contest.
I can imagine the rhythmic percussion of these waves, their depth and encounter with the rocks, their crash, and their ability to keep coming....it's a sound you can trust. Trust that it will always be there...calmly with motion, and fiercely with inclement weather...the wonder of the water...Yes, this one I can hear....so have to award it a six.
Beautiful entry and I wish you all the best in the contest.

What a detailed, artistic and poetic review. This is another case where your review is better than the image, Your rating truly IS More Than Generous. Thank you so much VO ~ FS

I do really like the drama of this shot. The light of the sun on the water, creating a staircase feel is lovely, with the same glow coming off the rocks. Extending the sky, allowing a portrait frame rather than the square is the only thing compositionally that I feel would make it really balance. But a nice warm shot. :)

Thank you so much Ann. I agree with you on the sky. That's all there was. I experimented with cropping it out completely but it just didn't seem to work. Oh well, one must do with what one has
; )
I very much appreciate your right on call concerning the sky Ann ~ Steve

haha absolutely Steve. Bummer! But panic not - I have a million that I wish I had 'more foreground/more sky' - yep, definitely - we work with what we get sometimes :D
