Great entry for the contest. Lovely shot of these vibrant Indian Paintbrush flowers growing by a pond. I like the angle you used for this with the flowers going diagonally across the frame against the soft background. Very good focus. Great composition. Good luck in the contest. Suzanne

These are such pretty little flowers, I like their name !
They are well placed within the frame and I like the way they reach from right to left. They are standing out from the muted green toned background . Well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed, the colors and tones appear natural. Well composed and presented!

Those paintbrush flowers are beautiful. Their shades of colors are superb. Your photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The diagonal placement of the flowers is eye pleasing. The tall format emphasizes the flowers sufficiently. The soft background is unobtrusive. The photo is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

well done, good colors, good colors, good bokeh. maybe with a little greater DOF the buds could have been in focus, however maybe you did not want them in focus which is OK,

This is a good picture of wild flowers! The sharp orange is pretty eye catching. They look as if they are basking in the sun! I cannot wait for spring. Nice one!

Cool,Lise!
We've always known these colorful little plants as 'Devil's Paintbrushes' but I've never checked to find out what their scientific name actually is! : )
Your photo of this pair of them looks great though and I'm enjoying the picture very much!
