It is such a tender scene you have pictured here Mark. A father praying for his little child has to touch even the coldest heart. I like the simplicity of your work where the father, the child in its bed and the moon are the centers of interest.
I also like the limited color pallet and how the light from the moon has given the father a shiny outline.
The format and framing is perfect, and it is a fine balance in the composition. I think this is a lovely and well done sharpie picture, and I wish you luck with the contest.

that is a really nice and emotive picture. it's well thought out and also being a father myself, it's one of a great sentiment. all of our hopes and dreams for our child, can also be cemented with a well placed prayer.

Hi Mark, I don't know if it was intentional or if it just worked out that way but did you know your moon is smiling? I LOVE it! There's nothing as touching as seeing a parent praying over it's child. The smiling moon makes you feel a very warm positive force is listening to every word. I think that's a lovely vision. Just had to give you a six! Good Luck in the contest! :o) Nancy

A great entry for the contest. I like the image of the boy praying next to the baby in the crib. That says a lot.
Good details and colors. I liked the video of the Cat Stevens song. I always liked the lines 'You are young that's your fault there's so much you have to know'. 'Look at me I am old but I'm happy'.
Now days those words mean a lot more.
