Thank you so much Marsha! Yes, he is all of that and I feel safe with him. We get a lot of moose in our back yard he knows how to herd them out .

Hello AlaskaPat, Kaiser is a beautiful German Shepherd. You captured a great picture of him playing in the snow. Kaiser reminds me of my childhood, we had 3 German Shepherds, when I was growing up. Thanks for sharing a picture of Kaiser.

What a great photo of Kaiser. His alert pose is great and characteristic of a dog that is interested in something (in this case you).
His colors are nicely rendered and the snow around him gives a very 'cool' (ugh) perspective.

The German shepherd dog is a herding breed known for its courage, loyalty and guarding instincts. This breed makes an excellent guard dog, police dog, military dog, guide dog for the blind and search and rescue dog. As you know my first Dog when I was 4 was a German Shepherd.
He was trained by one word commands and was even trained to understand what fire was. When we practiced fire drills in our 3 story home, He would grab each child and bring them to the safe place.
He was the best dog and gorgeous like your Kaiser.
The regal pose, the look towards you, the clarity in his eyes, white balance control and sharp focus all make this special Pat.

Thank you so much! I worked with all breeds of dogs for several years, the German Shepherd is such a special dog, they are such quick learners and they absolutely live to please their owner, they love praise! I have owned at least one since I was 15 .
