A beautiful photograph of the Geyser Basin in Yellowstone. Nice contrast of the wonderful deep blue of the sky, the water with the rather bland surrounding landscape. The colors of the thermophiles add interest. Good luck in the contest

Hi Steve, I don't know what it is about these images, but I find them fascinating! The colors in the thermal pools are so pretty. If you love nature it's definitely a place you want to visit. Love the way you presented this. I can see the steam rising in two areas of the upper right. Very Cool! :o) Nancy

Hi Steve, I don't know what it is about these images, but I find them fascinating! The colors in the thermal pools are so pretty. If you love nature it's definitely a place you want to visit. A very beautiful & unique view over the Midway Geyser Basin in Yellowstone the Thermophyles adding colours to the scene added to the blue sky reflected on the water in the foreground the lowflying clouds in the blue sky & the dark tree covered hills adding interest along & just above the horizon. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

A beautiful landscape scene with marvellous colours in the layers. Taken from an interesting perspective to show the vast vista of the land. I love the orange and blue water area and the cloud layer above with what looks like a rain storm. Wonderfully captured and all the best in the contest.

This brings back memories of our trip to New Zealand. Love the landscape - not the sulphur smell if you have that as Rotorua does. Your capture shows the isolation wonderfully and the colors are excellent.
