The selective color works extremely well with the eye popping red chimney drawing the viewer to it immediately. Well composed image with good focus and dof.

The red draws our eyes immediately. The selective color works well. The blazing red stands out from the monochromatic landscape and demands our attention. The winter landscape is beautiful. The house is excellent placed within the frame. The landscape is perfect composed. The composition is balanced.

Hi, love it and I can see why you would stop and look, wonder about the conversation they had with whoever painted it, "Darling what do you think if we paint the chimney red?" lol. Cheers

I really like how you have used selective coloring, because the red color is standing out so well from the black and white. It is a lovely house, and I like the way it is framed by the big tree on the right.

The photo is sharp showing clear and well defined details all over, and the exposure is perfect. It is also fine distinctions between light and dark,

The format and framing is very good, and with the house placed off to the right, it is a very good balance in the composition. A truly lovely and well taken photo Pat, and with an excellent DOF.

It is incredible what can we do with our hardware and software if we know how! And you do know!
The monumental chimney which is so important in your region is the focal point, contrasting not only with the bright colors but also its rigid, rectangular shape compare to the fluid landscaping and detailed architecture of the home.

Could your use of selective coloring made this classic picture look even more outstanding than the original version did?

Pat,
A beautiful selective colour picture of that house in your neighbourhood with it's red chimney & framed by the trees growing along the property boundary. The snow on the ground & on the roof make a sharp colour contrast with the red chimney. Beautiful atmospheric composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
