It's how I like to imagine the eastern shore of the Great Inland Sea might ave looked way back in late Mesozoic times!
Imagine what giant prehistoric sea monsters might be lurking in those dark depths? : )

This is a lovely composition.
The sunset is rich with many colors and the moon as they reflect upon the water. I can almost feel and smell the sea breeze as the water splashes with the tide. The details of the white caps forming in the water and the impasto
technique in the sunset is very well done.

This is a lovely composition.

I think this is a painting with a strong visual impact because of the strong colors, and also the bold brush work. I especially like the whites on the top of the waves, and also the dramatic looking sky.
The format and framing is working well, and I think it is a fine balance in the composition. I think this is a truly lovely and well done painting Suzanne, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Beautiful! I love your use of dark colors to set the mood for this sunset. The textures in the sky are beautifully done and the waters of the bay are mesmerizing! The splashing waves are realistic and nice to see among the subtle abstract style you have used. Great work that is pleasing to view!

What a beautiful sunset scene! Very well rendered , I like that you allowed more space for the water and less for the sky , this gives such nice depth to your scene, nice grassy hill and large rock on the right near the horizon , beautiful sky with a well placed sun as it is just about to dip below, beautiful show of the light and shadows, I love the reflections on the water and the way you show the motion with the white caps.
