Excellent capture, Susan, showing the pretty little grey Squirrel grabbing a tiny Crab Apple. I like the frame you used to present this. Very good lighting and focus showing great detail. Lovely composition. Suzanne

I think that this squirrel already grabbed that crab apple. It seems to eat it. Your photo is excellent focused and exposed and has good depth. I enjoy the realism of color and light and the refinement of detail. The squirrel is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

You certainly have a lot of activity in your garden and what a pleasure it must be during such difficult times to have the opportunities to take such photographs and then share them with us on the FanArt.Fortunately for this creature he has a gorgeous white under belly that subsequently assists in the viewers observations of the subject otherwise the presentation would've been a little too dark to enjoy.Well done on this

Neil,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this American Grey Squirrel hanging upside down from the Bird feeder stand. The sunlight that morning was dappled leaving patches of shadows. It was also rather overcast all this week. I just grabbed the pictures through the Patio door with my dog barking loudly inside.
The day before I counted 15 Species of Birds in the garden & around the feeders.

The squirrel is well captured as it eats the tiny crabapple, I like it's position , they are so much fun to watch! Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct, the colors and tones appear natural. Well composed and presented! I like your frame too!

in Mississippi we call them tree rats..dont take offense but in that culture they make a good meal over rice..that tradition goes back a couple hundred years..this is cute. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this frisky fella chowing down is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Mark,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this American Grey Squirrel grabbing a red Crabapple off a branch to feast on.
Here there are considered a Non Native Invasive Species & also to some a Tree Rat...when I was a child if you killed a grey Squirrel, cut off it's tail & took it into the Police Station you could get a bounty of 1/- ( about 25 American cents) I would never harm them! They were introduced by large Landlords to increase biodiversity on their estates...unbeknown to them at the time the Grey Squirrel carries the Squirrel Pox that does not affect them BUT it is fatal to our Native Red Squirrel who's numbers have fall to danger levels. Recently the Pine Marten has been reintroduced & the Red Squirrel shows signs of recovery while the Grey is falling to the Pine Martens!
