I would say painting sea and water where you live is almost obligatory and you have a head start on all of us.
I can't swim, but do like the effect. I imagine the acrylic colours are very vibrant.

Thank you for your review. Yes I do live to see, to photograph and to painct the sea. It changes so quickly and colours reflect light so much, it can be a challenge.

This is a wonderful entry for this contest, it's a well rendered underwater view to show the amazing turtle entering this scene as the shark is leaving the scene. I love the way you have arranged this and appreciate the depth brought by your placement of the aquatic plants. Wonderful use of color too! Well presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

Very Cool,Brenda!
I used to 'doodle' marine life forms myself,my friend ( usually the long extinct Dinosaurian variety) and I think that your painting of this flippered Chelonion reptile and the great Carcharodonian Fish looks Great!
It's wonderfully interesting,well detailed,and greatly enjoyable! : D

This looks like a tropical reef. The abundance of sea life, plants and corals is interesting. The colors are pleasant and realistic. The softness of the diffuse light emphasize that this is a underwater scenery. Perspective and proportions are correct. The fish and the turtle are well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
