A beautiful scene and a well timed shot to capture the wave action so well. I like the colors and what looks like rain coming out the clouds in the background.

This is an interesting capture. I love the sunlight streaming in the background. Perfect timing on the wave! I normally don't care for big, clunky rocks in the way, but I think this is cool how the wave, the sun and the rock are aligned.

    Thank you so very much Oats19. I am honored by your review and More Than Generous Rating. As far as the timing I could never catch a wave like this. The secret is watching the waves come in and then using Burst Mode on the iPhone. Thank you again Oats19 ~ Steve

Excellent capture, Steve, showing the explosion of water off shore. I like the angle you used for this with the retaining rocks in the foreground. Great sense of movement in the water. Excellent camera techniques. Lovely composition. Suzanne

Steve,
A beautiful stop action picture of this wave "Frozen" in midair with the sun shining from behind backlighting the frozen spray against the background sea the sun's rays shining through the windblown clouds are highlighting the mountains below rising up from the far shore. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

a very good stop action of this splashing wave, not clear what seems unusual; good capture of the water droplets; I also like the bright halo above the mountain in the background;

    Thanks a lot Nik. To get this shot I settled on the composition and then used burst mode on my iPhone. This was the best of about 20 shots of this one wave. I shot 20-25 bursts on these waves.

    Obviously taking no chances of getting the best one!

Love this Steve the movement of the wave is captured nicely but it is the blue halo above the hill in background that caught my attention. Nicely composed and enjoyable to view.

Hi Steve, How lucky were you to capture a phenomenon like this. I don't think I've ever heard of this wave situation either. Love the transparency the backlighing gives the wave. The focus on the wave almost make it crystalize. The two things that really attract you to the image is the wave and the sunlight over the mountains. The combination of those two reallt make the shot attractive. Nicely Done My Friend! :o) Nancy
