This photo is amazing! I love how the light catches on the crest of the wave. The light streams through those big clouds gives the shot a mystical feel. Thanks for sharing!

This is very cool. Your composition is nice with the combination of multiple textures and layers. I see these crashing waves sometimes at the beach near my house too. Nice shot!

'Good Show',Steve!
They used to warn us that anything was possible down in Mexico (particularly in Ciudad Juarez, which was our usual destination if we'd managed to get a three day pass) and your interesting photo shows us that 'anything' applies to the Meteoroligical as well as the ... 'cultural' aspects of Mexico too!

'Good Show',my friend!

This is a perfect stop-in-action. The splash sand her golden hue are impressive. Your photo is excellent focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. I enjoy the sharpness of detail and the realism of light and color. The square format is sufficient. The splashing wave is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

I have never seen anything like this before either, but you have indeed pictured this phenomena well, and I especially like how the light is shining through the wave. You have also brought out so well the fine textures of the rocky foreground.

The photo is nice and sharp showing clear and well defined details all over, but the over exposure in the white clouds is a slight distraction.

I do however like the format you have cropped the photo into, and I also think it is a fine balance in the composition. All together a truly lovely and well taken photo Steve, and with an excellent DOF.

a beautiful seascape shot portraying this unusual phenomonon. The balance between that powerful sky with the light permeating through and the sea is quite exquisite and attractive to the viewers eye.Overall an excellent presentation

Oh my goodness! This looks like it could have been taken on one of the beaches in Homer!
What is so impressive here is the timing to capture this wave at the perfect moment as it moves upward , I also love that the sun is lighting it up and then bounces onto the surf in left foreground , this of course calls attention to the sunlight over the top of the mountain in back and how it illuminates the clouds . It's this light that brings this scene to life ! I think the beach is my favorite place to be, it's where I feel the most energized ! This is of course, well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct, the colors and tones are beautiful and appear natural. I like the texture brought by the rocks in foreground too! Well composed and presented!
