It's an avian mutation along the lines of my white feathered crow whom I've named 'Grandmother' and whose been visiting my back yard lookin' for food in the winter for several years now! I haven't been able to get a decent looking photo of her yet though! I just hope that she's actually a real Female specimen! : ) )

I haven't been able to get a decent looking photo of her yet though! I just hope that she's actually a real Female specimen! : ) )

She was out in the yard today,LeeAnn,but she took off just as I was getting the camera out!

I really appreciate your interesting and informative notes Lee Ann. I think this mutant chickadee is truly pretty with the pale feathers, and you have pictured it so well. Especially the little bright eye is well captured, and the bird is also standing out really well from the background.
The photo is pin sharp, and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. The exposure is spot.
The format you have cropped the photo into works well, and the bird on the branch has got a very good placement within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Due to your perfect applied mixed media treatment, this bird has indeed a ghostly appearance. The original photo was apparently excellent focused and exposed. I enjoy the sharpness of detail. The position of the bird on the branch which is bowing diagonally through the frame please the eyes of the viewers. The mixed media is excellent composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

Oh my goodness! This is so interesting to see and learn about, here we have the black capped and the Boreal chickadees, but I have not seen or heard about this one. You have captured it perfectly! Spot on focus, this image is clear, exposure is perfect, it's colors and tones are well produced and natural. I see well defined detail over every part of this sweet little bird, really appreciate the face , beak and that clear eye, complete with catch light! The bird is perfectly placed within the frame and stands out from the snowy background . Your effort to get it to land on the Branch worked perfectly! I am impressed! Well composed and presented! Thanks so very much,Pat for the fantastic review and grand rating. I?ve been fortunate enough to have gotten several good photos of it. At least I don?t have far to go to photograph it,which is good,seeing that the temps have been in the 20?s,and I start getting cold standing around waiting for it to show up;despite the heavy gloves and insulated hunting boots!
