Good one for thinking outside the box,bet not many people would have even thought of taking a sunflower from underneath,that aside i think the effect you created in this is quite unique,good one...Brian

The angle is fantastic Willie, but I also like the close and personal approach letting us see all the fine details of the green part of this sunflower. The sky offers a lovely background, and the flower is standing out from it in an excellent way.
The photo is pin sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen both in the yellow petals and the green leaves. The exposure is just spot on.
I also like the tight cropping and the diagonal placement of the flower within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.
