You have pictured this lovely mandarin duck so well, and I especially like how well you have captured the fine shine and ripples in the water. I also think the light is falling so lovely on the bird, and it is standing out well from the dark background.

The photo is nice and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in the bird, and the exposure is very good.

The format you have cropped the photo into works well, and the duck has got a fine placement within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo Fred, and with an excellent DOF.
