Nice shot and a great entry for the contest! I see a possible winner ð??? here because the flowers are truly beautiful and unusual, as you said. The composition is perfect! Brilliant colors! Fabulous contrast. Darker background was a great idea! Good luck!!!

This flower is more common in blue, but I think they white ones are even prettier. The name is Bachelor's Button. I think you have captured them really well, and they are standing out from the dark foliage in an excellent way.

The photo is sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen both in the petals and the whimsical stamens. The exposure is perfect.

The tight framing is working well and I like the slight diagonal placement of the two flowers within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

They are cool looking indeed and I'm sorry I don't know the name of them either. They are well photographed and it's a nice placement within the frame, it shows the two different angles allowing a good look at the shape and structure of the flowers, I like the shape of the white petals and the fringed pink center detail. They step forward from the deep green tones in background.
They are well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct, colors and tones appear natural. Well composed and presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

I will begin by starting with the background, which immediately caught my attention. The highlights and lowlights of the greenery is presented perfectly. The we come to the blossoms themselves. The texture of the petals are masterfully captured in this shot. The contrast with the background make this a perfect picture.

Centaurea cyanus, commonly known as cornflower or bachelor's button, is an annual flowering plant in the family Asteraceae native to Europe. In the past, it often grew as a weed in cornfields, hence its name.

I am in love with these flowers! You did a great job capturing the details of their uniqueness. Definitely a wonderful addition to your portfolio. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful craftsmanship.
